    I Am Empowered Scholarship & Awards

    APPLY for the I AM EMPOWERED Scholarship!

    • Do you know a high school senior in need of cash for their 1st year of college?
    • Are you a young professional that needs some extra money for your tuition?
    High school seniors and young professionals going to or attending an accredited 2/4 year college/university or graduate degree program are encouraged to apply for the YPN-ULEM "I Am Empowered" Scholarship! Recipients will receive awards up to $500 towards their educational goals.

    ELIGIBILITY:

    Young Adult Applicant
    • Must be current high school senior or GED recipient
    • Accepted at an accredited college or university in pursuit of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree
    • Must be resident of Eastern MA
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, based on a 4.0 scale, at time of submission. Students not on a 4.0 scale must have a B average or better.
    Young Professional Applicant
    • Must be resident of Eastern MA
    • Accepted or currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in pursuit of an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, based on a 4.0 scale, at time of submission. Students not on a 4.0 scale must have a B average or better.
    • While a current membership in good standing of YPN-ULEM is not required, it is encouraged.

    NOMINATE for a YPN-ULEM MEMBERSHIP AWARD!

    • Are you a member of YPN-ULEM that has gone above and beyond for the organization?
    • Do you know someone who gives more than required in service to YPN-ULEM? 
    This is your opportunity to submit your recommendations for yourself or others for the YPN-ULEM Membership Awards, to recognize outstanding service to the organization. Membership Awards will be awarded at the 1st Annual I Am Empowered Scholarship & Awards Brunch on April 2nn. 2016. The time frame for consideration is the 2015-2016 program year.
