Dr. Luther Brewster’s background is in community development; he has worked both in the private and public sectors. Since beginning his career in 2003, Dr. Brewster has held academic and research positions at the City University of New York and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He served as consultant for the expansion of the 125th Street business improvement district in Harlem, New York and the Arsenal, F.C. Emirates Stadium housing regeneration project in London, England. The focus of Dr. Brewster’s work is on the identification and correction of health risks created by programs and policies that typically are not viewed as having a relationship to health. He has a consistent track record of implementing grassroots strategies to address community concerns.

Monique Carswell has over 14 years of experience experience encompassing a combination of branding, advertising, public relations, partnership management, digital strategy, business development and event planning. Carswell made the leap from corporate to the non-profit sector after deciding to permanently marry her professional pursuits with her philanthropic values and acumen. She is currently the Director, Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility at Comcast NBCUniversal where she is responsible for ideating and developing innovative programs to solve social issues in communities nationwide, inclusive of leading NBCUniversal’s Emmy Award-winning public service campaign The More You Know. Carswell also advises others in brand strategy through her agency Myles Ahead Consulting, LLC and as an adjunct professor, formerly at Fordham University, now at New York University.
